If any of you follow any beauty bloggers (or are/have beauty loving daughters) the Urban Decay ‘Naked’ palettes are already known to you.
They’re a cult series of eyeshadow favourites, including a matte palette, a rose-gold toned set, a smokey set and a simplified version but our enduring favourite and go-anywhere must-have is always going to be the one we turn to for every eventuality.
Why is it so great? It’s a combination 12 of uber-wearable tones – all are flattering across skin shades, with a light shimmer to help open the eye socket and deeper tones for shading, coupled with ease of use.
The ‘eye-wardrobe’ format means each can be coupled with any other shade and look great (so no weird neons left untouched).
The shadows have great pay-off (how intense the colour is) and even on hooded, or lined eyes, don’t smudge or sit in wrinkles.
The palette itself is chunky, and clumsy hands like ours haven’t broken them yet.
At a cost price of £38.50 (depending on where you shop), it represents great value, at £3.10 per shade.
All-in-all if we could only take one to a desert island, we’d be hard pushed to leave this one behind!
